Born in Moravia. Married in Moravia. Immigrated with his wife and children in the mid 1800's. He was the first person buried in the cemetery. He is buried near the large iron cross in an unmarked grave. Born approximately 1830 or 1834. Per a relative's recollection, he was herding cattle one day; when he didn't come home, they went looking for him. They found him dead where he was herding cattle. They called it sunstroke.
