Coe, Roy Home

There was no listing for Roy Coe in the 1904 tax records. In the early 1930s-50s Roy B. Coe operated a Photo Studio at the house on the northwest corner of 3rd & G Streets. He took the 1941 DCHS Senior Class photos. 1904 tax records listed the home at 3rd & G as being owned by Emma Kiddell, value $170. Roy B. Coe Biographical Information: Roy was born in Crawfordville, Iowa, August 4, 1870 to Sterling D. and Mary Crawford Coe. He married Mamie Churchill on Dec. 25, 1893 in Escondido, CA. From 1887-1924, Roy worked in his father's shop. In 1925 he opened his furniture & undertaking business in the Thorpe Opera House building. He was a member of the local Chamber of Commerce and Knights of Pythias.
