    1904 tax records lists the owner, Louis Spelts, Block 23, Lots 1&4, orig. DC, value $1020. The home was located a block north of the elevator owned by Lewis Spelts, who owned the half block, now occupied by Henningsens parking lot and the DC Police Station. The house was demolished circa 1990, but for 30 years prior to that had served as apartments.
