    1904 tax roll lists the owner as Joseph Axemaker, Block 16, Lots 1-4-5, Will Thorpe & Perkins 1st Addition. The home, located on the southwest corner of 9th & I Streets was still there in 1970. Joseph Axemaker was a father-in-law of Charles Brochtrup.
