    David B. and Sarah Ann (Bobb) Armagost came to Butler County by wagon train. The wagons were drawn by oxen or horses. The Armagosts' wagon was pulled by horses. They settled on land located three miles south and four miles west of David City. David farmed until 1890 when he was elected Sheriff of Butler County. They moved to David City in January, 1891, where he lived until his death, February 2, 1936. Sarah Armagost died May 15, 1877.
