Catholic School

Magnus Litty donated Block 6, Litty's 1st Addition to St. Mary's Church. The lot is not listed on the 1904 tax rolls. The school was located on the north side of the block. An addition was later added to the east for living quarters for the Nuns and a fire escape tube added to the south side of the building's second floor. The porch in the photo was located on the west side of the building. J Street was on the north side of the school. A new rectory was placed to the west of the school. The above school building was replaced in 1954.
