    The Wilson A. Wells home is located at 917 N. 5th Street, across the street west of St. Mary's Church. W. A. Wells moved to David City in 1877 to a lumber yard after having wored in an Omaha lumber yard. The David City Lumber Co. began in 1877 when the first train of the Omaha and Republican Valley Railroad arrived in David City with the first car of lumber and other merchandise for Mr. Well's lumber yard.
