    1904 tax roll lists the owner as Anna Thomas, Blk. 4, Lots 8 & 9, Orig. DC, value $630. The home was located on the corner of 5th & G Streets. Jacob Thomas petitioned the City Council for a "License to sell malt, spiritous and vinous liquors" on Lot 6, Block 17, Oirginal Town of David City on April 30, 1888. Mr. Thomas operated the Gold Dust Saloon until 1909, when the citizens of David City voted to discontinue the issuance of such licenses. Jacob and his wife, Anna, were the parents of A.V. Thomas.
