    History lists date of birth as 11/10/1862. Born near Pierpont, Ashtabula, Co, Ohio. Graduated from OSU with a law degree in June, 1888. Married: 6/4/1889 at Ulysses, NE. Began practicing law in David City in 1890. Served as State Senator and Governor 1911-13. Reinterred in Ulysses Township Cemetery in 1937.
