    John graduated from UNL. He played professional football with the Minnesota Vikings and New York Giants for seven years. Taught and coached at Aquinas High School. Worked at Vishay Dale Electronics, retiring after 27 years. He enjoyed running local road races. He continued to learn and to teach thoughtout his life.
