Born in Benton county, Iowa. Married 2/28/1892. Was in the newspaper busines 30 years, Started in McCool Junction, Ne & then York Ne. Came to David City in 1896. Was editor for 10 years & then spent time in Iowa. Came back to Ne & in 1915 purchased the Brainard Clipper.
