Born in Wayne Co., Ohio. Came to Plattsmouth, NE, in 1853. Married in Plattsmouth, NE, in 1863. Civil War Veteran. He was a contract physician for the army. He was captured and held as a prisoner of war for 9 mos. Came to Butler Co., NE, in 1865. Buried in Leavenworth Soldiers Home Cemetery.
