Born near Des Moines, IA. Civil War Veteran. Henshaw's Ind. Platoon. Bty. Illinois, Lt. Artillery. Married to Isabella in June, 1870. The family came to NE in March 1881, locating on a farm one mile south of Bellwood. Isabella died in 1887. He married Mary Meister 7-4-1888. They moved to a farm near Garrison in March 1913. Age: 88 years, 1 month, 14 days. Obit states he had 6 children (Dora Kosch, Hamlyn and four infant sons) with his first wife and 10 children (7 sons and 3 daughters) with his second wife plus a foster child Dick who died in 1924.
