    Veteran. He joined the Army National Guard and in 1953 he went to active duty, stationed at Ft. Leonard Wood and Ft. Carson, where he married Joyce on 06/11/1955. Later he was stationed at Ft. Lewis, WA and Schofield Barracks in Hawwaii.
