Harriger, William G. Dr.

He was born in Canada. His parent were both born in England. He studied medicine in Strattensville, PA. In 1863 he enlisted in the Union "Army as a member of Co. H 111th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry. He was appointed as assistant surgeon and served two years in that capacity. He finished his medical studies at Bishop's college in Canada. He married 6/4/1866. He and his wife and four children came to Brainard in about 1877. His wife is listed as Martha on the census dated June 1, 1879 to May 31, 1880. She was from Canada. Two children are buried in the IOOF, Brainard Cemetery.
