    Born in Eden County, New York. He moved to Kane County, Illinoise in 1856. Married Harriet Peck in 1861. In 1878 he moved his family to Rising City, Butler County, Nebraska. Mortimer and Elva died in 1879. His first wife, Harriet, died in 1889. He married Charlotte Henderson in 1891. They had one daughter, Lucile. His wife, Charlotte, died in 1896. He married Mrs. Barker in May, 1899.
