    Born in Suffolkshire, England. Came to No. Amer. in 1854 and spent a year in Quebec, Canada, before moving to a farm west of Chicago, ILL. By 1861, he was farming in Saunder Co., NE, farmed near Brainard a few years before moving to Surpise in 1867.
