He was in Oak Creek in 1900 Census, in 1910 Census he was in Maple Grove, Johnson, NE. In 1920 Census he was in Lincoln Ward, Lancaster NE living with a daughter, Katherine B.Showalter. In 1930 Census he had a new wife, Roxie, and was living in Cleveland, Cuyahoga, Ohio at the age of 81. He was a Civil War Veteran in Co. A., Twenty-Fifth Iowa Volunteer Infantry, signing up at the age of 18 at Washington, Iowa.
