Amanda was the first white child born in Butler County, on 10/8/1860 at Savannah. She is the daughter of Charles H. and Sibel Simpson. She married Samuel in Oct. 1878. Samuel was born in Sangamon Co., ILL on 1/13/1851 and came to Nebraska in May 1871; homesteaded on Oak Creek near Brainard, in Section 24.
