Born in Evansville, Ind. Moved with her parents to Quincy, Mich. Circa 1858, then moved to Butler County, NE, circa 1869. Smith's information lists marriage date as 12/7/1872. According to her obituary, they were married 12-11-1873. In 12-1874, they returned to Rensselaerville, NY, where their first two children were born. In 1879, they returned to their NE homestead, north of Bellwood, where the other children were born. In March, 1900, they moved to Bellwood.
